Al-Masakin News Agency is an amateur news website maintained by Edward H. Campbell former correspondent to the Tehran Times, The Muslim Observer, and current contributor to Independent Media.  Al-Masakin is committed to publishing suppessed or hidden news stories from the Middle East, Central Asia, other items of interest to journalists and reporters, what you should have learned but prehaps did not. 

Content on this page does not necessarily indicate endorsement of any particular cause.  Freedom of the press is itself my cause, for censorship is, and through that, thought control, the principle weapons against the masses of those in power who seek to remain there, your ignorance is their power; for what cannot be thought cannot be done.

Edward Campbell, aside from being a reporter, and having written extensively on a great number of contemporary topics, is a former foreign language student, a Classicist, and is the author of several manuscripts on Roman history.
