Iran calls for condemnation of the Zionist crimes by G77

Rome, Jan 21, IRNA – Iran’s permanent representative in international bodies located in Rome called for condemnation of the Zionist crimes in Gaza by member states of Group 77.

In a meeting of member states representatives in Rome on Wednesday, which was held for sending humanitarian aids for people of Gaza , Javad Tavakkolian told the meeting that international bodies should act promptly to break blockade of Gaza and reopen border crossings for sending help to the people of Gaza.

World Food Programme ( WFP), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations( FAO) and International Development Fund ( IDF) are three international organizations stationed in the city of Rome.
Tavakkolian is Iran’s representative in all three international bodies.
In his speech , Tavakkolian said that the Zionist regime by committing such crimes in Gaza is violating all international laws, especially Geneva Convention and that this regime has never been committed to any international laws and regulations.

He also called representatives of G77 to send a fact finding delegation by international organizations stationed in Rome as well as presenting an emergency program to help Gaza people in cooperation with International Red Crescent and Red Cross.

Referring to the lack of commitment of the Zionist regime to international laws and their acts of ethnic cleansing in Gaza, Iran’s permanent representative in international bodies in Rome opposed with candidature of the Zionist regime representative for heading International Fund for Agricultural Development ( IFAD) and asked other representatives to oppose with the issue.

Group 77 was established in 1964 to aim increase economic, trade and technical cooperation among 77 founding member states in Geneva, Switzerland. It has 132 member states now.
Iran joined G 77 in 2001.
